A 5-year overview of Independent Meat Inspection (IMI) of South Africa and the relationship with meat industry

In this session the focus will be on the review of challenges and successes of the IMI scheme of South Africa in different meat production sectors, and how meat industry stakeholders have been involved and impacted, in the past 5 years. The role of privately assigned and meat inspectors from assignees as the extension of the state will be included.
